By Train

The nearest railway station is located at a distance of 65 kms at Kathgodham, via Kainchi Dham, at the foothills of the Kumaon hills. Kathgodam railway station enjoys good connectivity to important places such as Delhi, Lucknow and Howrah, with daily trains running to New Delhi. Outside the railway station, you can hire a private taxi which will take you to Basgaon.

 

By Road

Haldwani is well-linked to all nearby places by a network of well-constructed roads, including NH9 & NH87, which links it to Rudrapur and Rampur. A tentative 6-8-hour drive by UTC bus/ own car from New Delhi, Haldwani can easily be accessed by road, with a few halts enroute. One can also opt to drive all the way up to Nainital from Kaladhungi, then take the road going towards Almora from Bhowali, via Kainchi Dham.
